Our government isn’t failing to address global warming.  It’s aggressively making it worse by giving at least $11 billion per year to some of the most profitable corporations on earth.
Tell Congress to end fossil fuel subsidies now.
Senator Bernie Sanders and Congressman Keith Ellison have just introduced legislation that would eliminate all oil, coal and gas production subsidies.
If this bill passes, there will be no more tax breaks, financial assistance, royalty relief, or any of the numerous other giveaways currently going to the fossil fuel industry.
Tell Congress we know what they’re doing. Demand that they stop doing it.
We like to think of government spending as a good thing.  We like to think that taxing the rich would fix our public policies.  In reality, we need comprehensive changes that tax the rich while ceasing to dump the public treasury into polluters, or into the wars that are waged for their benefit.
Tell Congress to put that $11 billion to better use.
